The Annual Conference is one of our main events, where potential doctoral students have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about the typical doctoral study process;
- Gain insight into what to expect in their postgraduate studies;
- Be informed of local and international training opportunities at higher education institutions, research facilities or private organisations;
- Interact with role models and mentors and PhD graduate professionals who will share their experiences;
- Learn about the various scholarships and bursaries for postgraduate studies; and
- Meet representatives from foundations and funding agencies.

The 2009 SA PhD Project Conference was held on 6 to 8 May 2009 at Emperor's Palace, Johannesburg which is close to the OR Tambo International Airport.
The 2010 SA PhD Project Conference will be held from 5 - 7 May 2010 at Emperor's Palace, Johannesburg, which is close to the OR Tambo International Airport. Online registration is now open for students who are interested in attending. All expenses for potential students who have successfully applied for a spot are covered by the SA PhD Project.
