Dr Lorna Holtman

Dr Lorna Holtman completed her PhD at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 2000. She is the former Deputy Dean of Natural Science for Teaching and Learning at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), Cape Town, South Africa. Dr Holtman is the Director: Postgraduate Studies at UWC where she reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic). Lorna is the South African National Committee chairperson (2007-2009) of the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS) and is an Executive Member of IUBS at international level. She is Africa representative and newly elected Vice-President of Commission for Biology Education.
