Dr. Solomzi Makohliso

Solomzi Makohliso is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ayanda Biosystems SA, Lausanne, Switzerland, established in 2001. He is a member of the Panel of Expert Evaluators for the European Commission 7th Framework Program for “Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials & New Production Technologies - Nanobiotechnology” as well as the South African National Nanotechnology Advisory Board.

Between 2005 and 2007 he was Science and Technology Counsellor to the Swiss Government - Bilateral Cooperation Strategy with South Africa, and Project Coordinator, EU-FP6 Project: "Biosensors in Molecular Diagnostics - Nanotechnology for the analysis of microbial transcripts" (2005 - 2007).
